Monday was Allie's graduation from Pre-K.  The kids worked really hard to get ready for the day.  Allie's class led the singing of God Bless America, and all of the kids learned the Pledge of Allegiance in Sign Language!  They also performed the book Cock-a-doodle-doo!  Barnyard Hullabaloo.  Maybe I'm prejudiced, but the piggies were the best part!

This year is the 21st anniversary of the Youth Art Month Exhibit in town, sponsored by the Carmel-Kent Chamber of Commerce.  Art work from students throughout the school district were submitted by their teachers, judged in February and have been on display for the month of March.  Sophia, our own Artist In Residence had this piece submitted by her art teacher and it has been on display in the Kent Town Hall.

The cat is done in the style of American Artist Laurel Burch.  You can learn more about her here.

We couldn't be prouder of her!  There is an awards ceremony on April 10th, so you can expect an update then.
